Maya Weber: Nazi Wallpaper design
In the Historisches Museum Frankfurt, the exhibition „Frankfurt Einst?“ deals with individual historical objects, which serve as the basis for five galleries. One of these cabinets is the Walter Schreiber Room in which, among other objects, tin soldiers from the Nazi period are exhibited. I designed a wallpaper based on these figures. At first glance, one only sees a green patterned wallpaper on which hang various family photos. Only after coming a few steps closer into the room does one recognize that the marching tin soldiers from the showcase form the pattern in the wallpaper.
